UPDATE TO THE CHURCH CALENDAR

Our church calendar has received an upgrade and is now powered by Planning Center!  This upgrade allows our church integrate our online sign ups and group schedules into our master calendar, so that all of our church event info is in one place.  (We have also made this upgrade to in order to help us administratively manage many aspects of church life & facility usage).

Here’s what this update means for you:

• First: You can view this new calendar by visiting the Events page on our website, or by viewing the Calendar page (list view) on the Church Center Hub.  (We also encourage everyone in our congregation to download the Church Center mobile app on their phone or tablet as well (for iPhone/iPad and Android).
• Second: If you previously had subscribed to our church calendar through your own Google Calendar account before March 2, 2022, you will need to update your calendar feed using the instructions below.
  • IMPORTANT: If you subscribe to our church calendar using the method below, any event changes on the church calendar are delayed by about 5 hours (this is a limitation on Google’s end).  We recommend that you visit lebanonbfc.org whenever you are checking to see if our church services are cancelled due to weather, etc., as sudden changes in the church calendar will not immediately display using the method below.  The church website and the Church Center app will always have the most up-to-date information.  

With that being said, if you would like to still subscribe to the Lebanon BFC church calendar through your Google Calendar account, you will need to follow these steps:

First, add the new Church Calendar to your Google Calendar account.

1. On a computer, go to https://calendar.google.com
2. Go to the bottom left of the screen, and next to ‘Other Calendars’, click on the plus (+) icon.  Then select ‘From URL’.
3. Copy and paste the following URL:
   1. webcal://calendar.planningcenteronline.com/icals/eJxj4ajmsGLLz2R612jFlVqcX1AC4hd7KvEn5uTEp5al5pUUs1mxuYZYsZVmMqecYbJiLyvxVBIsKE3KyUyOL8nMTS1ms-YIseIuSCxKzC2uZrNiL07JZAMAlCAarA==7d77a22fcea02ea85acf8379522a671c5048eae5
   2. Then click ‘Add to Calendar’
   3. If you use the Google Calendar app on your phone as your default calendar app, you may need to also open the app and make sure the church calendar appears in your list of visible calendars.  If not, click on the menu icon and go to ‘Settings’.  Find the new calendar feed in your calendar list and make sure that sync is turned on.
   4. If you use Google Calendar, but also use the Apple Calendar app on your iPhone as your default calendar app, you will need to do the following to make the new Lebanon BFC calendar show up in your Apple calendar app:
      1. visit the following address: https://calendar.google.com/calendar/u/0/iphoneselect then sign in to your Google account, and then enable the new Calendar feed.
      2. Open the Apple Calendar app on your iPhone/iPad.  On the ‘Calendars’ tab, make sure the new Lebanon BFC Calendar is checked.  Then wait a few minutes for the LBFC events to popular on your calendar.

Next, if had previously subscribed to our older church calendar (used from 2014-March 2, 2022) on your personal Google calendar account, you will likely want to remove it from your account by following these steps:

1. On a computer, go to https://calendar.google.com
2. On the bottom-left, in your list of calendars, hover over the old church calendar, and click on the triple dots.  Click on ‘Settings and Sharing’.  On the next page, scroll down to the bottom and click ‘Unsubscribe’ (under the ‘Remove Calendar’ section).
