Our YF Program
The purpose of Youth Fellowship is to make disciples of Jesus Christ through instruction in the Word of God, fellowship with other believers, serving others after the example of Christ, and engaging the world in outreach. YF meetings and events are intended for teens from 7th-12th grade. YF meets on Sunday evenings from 5:45-6:45 PM before our evening worship service.** In addition to our weekly meetings, we offer monthly opportunities for social and service projects. (Please see our calendar of events to find out about our Sunday night topics and upcoming YF events.) We also meet together for prayer in Room 4 during our Wed Night Prayer Service.
**Note: YF does not usually meet on the 2nd Sunday of the month due to Fellowship Sunday.

Teen Week is an annual week-long youth event held at our church, usually in the middle of June. The week includes fun events, food, worship music, and our messages from a guest speaker. It’s always a blast!
Every January our youth group attends a weekend-long event at Pinebrook Bible Conference in Stroudsburg, called Sno-Glo. This weekend features a speaker who challenges the teens in their Christian walk and a worship leader or band, as well as several fun events & competitions such as paintball, volleyball, and dodgeball. Sno-Glo provides a great opportunity for teens to mingle with individuals from other youth groups, as over 300 teens attend this exciting weekend. This year’s Sno-Glo will be held from Jan. 25-27, 2019 at Pinebrook Bible Conference. The speaker is Mark Evans. His theme is “What does it mean to be a disciple of Christ?” The band leading us in worship will be Beautiful Mess. Along with these worship sessions, there will be dodgeball, basketball, volleyball, flag football, and a music/art competition. The teens will leave the church at 5:30 pm on that Friday evening and return around 3 pm on Sunday.
Every year in the Fall, we kick off the new school year with a weekend retreat at Woodcrest Retreat Center in Ephrata, PA. The purpose of this event is to help the teens get away from their normal routine and focus solely on their relationship with God. Our weekend is packed with several intentional Bible lessons throughout the weekend, as well as extended times of Bible reading, prayer, singing and group discussion. During free time, we also play games and make use of the center’s massive waterslide (weather permitting). It is both a fun and spiritually challenging week!
The term R.W.R. stands for a Retreat Within a Retreat. It is a service project in which we travel to Pinebrook Bible Conference and serve as staff for the camp while they host another retreat group. During one of these trips, which lasts from Friday to Sunday, we typically wait tables, clean dishes, serve in the snack shop, and occasionally do other work projects around the campus. Food and housing is provided for the teens at no cost, and our Youth Fellowship earns money for this service project. It is a weekend of hard work, but also lots of fun! We typically do two R.W.R.’s during the year: one in the Fall and one in the Spring. Teens must be at least 14 years old to participate.
ENCORE (Youth Choir)
ENCORE is the name of our church youth choir, which is open to those who are of junior or senior high age. ENCORE is directed by Michael Herb, and practices are held from September-May on Wednesday nights during the first half of the service (approx. 7:30-8:00 pm). The choir sings every third Sunday of the month during our evening service (except during the summer).
